About POV
POV is a permissionless prediction market built on Base, but unlike traditional prediction markets, it does not aim for accurate outcome forecasting. Instead, it allows users to express sentiment or opinions on a topic by buying or selling YES/NO tokens. Each market has independent YES and NO tokens, with prices determined by supply and demand, and there is no final settlement, so tokens can be traded continuously. Users who create markets must meet certain conditions (e.g., Twitter follower count) and can boost market visibility by paying DEGEN tokens. Market creators earn fees from trading volume. In the past six months (March to September 2026), POV remained in its early stage, launched a points program, and held a contest with a $5,000 prize pool, but overall trading volume was extremely low (e.g., one market had total volume of only $2.30), indicating limited user engagement. Additionally, the project has not yet issued its own token, and there is a risk of confusion with other projects sharing the same name.
