About phygitals

Phygitals is a platform on the Solana blockchain that digitizes physical trading cards. Physical cards are authenticated, graded by professional graders (such as PSA, CGC, Beckett), and stored in insured vaults. Each card is then minted as a compressed NFT (cNFT), and users can buy digital packs, reveal random cards, trade on the marketplace, sell back to the platform via buyback, or redeem the physical card at any time.

The core value proposition is addressing pain points in traditional physical card trading: slow and costly shipping, high trust costs between buyers and sellers, and low liquidity. By vaulting physical cards and recording ownership on-chain, Phygitals enables instant digital transfers while retaining a physical redemption path.

Recent developments: According to public information, Phygitals launched a storefront on Fanatics Collect in April 2026, extending reach to mainstream collectors. As of September 2026, the platform has processed over $250 million in cumulative volume, tokenized more than 100,000 cards, and sold over 520,000 units. In addition, lending services for vaulted cards have emerged in the ecosystem (e.g., Jupiter Offerbook), turning collectibles into collateral.

Trust and regulation remain key challenges. The platform explicitly states its cNFTs are not securities, but legal classification of tokenized physical assets is still evolving.

Updated: Sep 5, 2026

Over the past six months (2026-03-05 to 2026-09-05), Phygitals achieved key milestones:

  • Integrated with Fanatics Collect, enabling cross-listing of 50,000+ cards and live storefront on the platform, bridging Web3 to mainstream Web2 collectors.
  • Surpassed $250M in total processed volume on Solana, with 100,000+ tokenized cards and 520,000+ units sold.
  • Benefited from the SEC and CFTC joint interpretation (March 17, 2026) classifying digital collectibles as non-securities, reducing regulatory uncertainty.

Future roadmap focuses on:

  • Launching lending against tokenized cards (via Jupiter Offerbook) to turn collectibles into productive capital.
  • Expanding cross-chain interoperability to attract buyers from Ethereum, Polygon, and other chains.
  • Developing a mobile app (in pilot) and new gamified experiences.
  • Scaling B2B infrastructure to power other platforms (e.g., Anime Chain) and additional Web2 marketplace integrations.
