About Parasol
Parasol is a ZK execution engine built on Solana, designed to bring verifiable and deterministic execution to on-chain perpetual futures trading. Its core business is providing an order book and matching engine that leverages zero-knowledge proofs to ensure trades are executed exactly as intended, without relying on trusted intermediaries.
The main market pain point Parasol addresses is the trade-off in existing systems: STARKs offer fast proving but large proofs that are impractical to verify on Solana, while Groth16 offers tiny proofs but requires a circuit-specific trusted setup. Parasol combines both by wrapping STARK proofs in Groth16, producing compact proofs that verify cheaply on-chain while maintaining the flexibility of STARKs.
In the past six months (March to September 2026), Parasol has made significant progress. It open-sourced its Agent SDK under an MIT license, allowing developers to integrate with its trading intelligence layer via TypeScript types, MCP client examples, and integration guides. The company also published technical deep-dives explaining how Groth16 works and why wrapping STARKs in Groth16 is beneficial for Solana's constraints on transaction size and compute. Additionally, Parasol's CEO participated in Solana Summit Serbia, presenting the project's vision of turning Solana into an on-chain perps machine with deterministic ordering, dedicated blockspace, and ZK-verifiable execution.
Over the past six months, Parasol has made significant strides in its core execution layer. The team rebuilt the swap engine to support direct on-chain atomic swaps, eliminating reliance on third-party aggregators and reducing swap failure rates. A reactive exit system was introduced, enabling real-time stop-loss and take-profit execution based on price ticks rather than periodic scans, with velocity-aware trailing stops and anti-front-running randomization.
On the infrastructure side, Parasol deployed an MCP server that allows any AI agent to trade Solana memecoins, and launched a paid SDK for institutional access. The project underwent eight expert security audits, fixing 18 critical issues, and entered the Colosseum Solana Frontier hackathon. The whitepaper was updated to v4.0.
Looking ahead, the official roadmap prioritizes: further latency reduction between signal and on-chain confirmation, intelligent partial exits that sell portions as momentum fades, Telegram trade notifications, and a subscription tier model with paper trading access. The team also plans to deploy its own on-chain swap program for full control over the execution path, with the code already written and awaiting mainnet deployment.
Ivan Bjelajac: Current CEO of Neon Labs, the builder of Parasol. Building software since 2001, with 6 startup exits; formerly VP of Strategy at Tenderly and early lead of Polygon Edge, with roles at Polygon, Celsius, EBRD, and the World Bank. He became Neon Labs CEO in Aug 2025, driving Parasol as a Solana-native ZK execution engine and perps infrastructure.
