About Paradise Tycoon
Paradise Tycoon is a blockchain-based social building and crafting multiplayer game. On the surface, it presents as a Web2 game: players discover it through Facebook and TikTok ads, sign up instantly, and start playing without setting up wallets or handling seed phrases. Behind the scenes, Paradise Chain L1 handles ownership, progression, and economic logic on-chain, while Avalanche C-Chain manages onboarding and liquidity. This split-responsibility model is the core competitive edge: it removes the friction that typically kills Web3 games, letting players enjoy a free-to-play experience while the blockchain ensures fairness and real asset ownership.
The game's business revolves around island building, resource production, crafting, trading, and social interaction. Players own NFT islands of varying ranks, trade items at the Auction House (over 5 million items traded during Beta), and engage with NPCs at Port Ohana. The outworld offers quests, rare resources, and ancient blueprints. The market pain point addressed is the high barrier to entry in Web3 gaming—crypto-native onboarding, wallet complexity, and poor retention. Paradise Tycoon solves this by prioritizing gameplay first, with blockchain as an invisible backend.
In the past six months (2026-03-13 to 2026-09-13), the team rebuilt the backend entirely, replacing AWS and reducing monthly server costs by ~90% with near-zero latency between game servers and economy data. All NFTs migrated to Avalanche C-Chain, and a new merge mechanic was introduced, allowing players to burn NFTs into fragments and combine them into higher-level NFTs, including new Mythical NFTs. Economy 2.0 rolled out in Q2, increasing MOANI usage incentives and making extraction and botting more difficult. The UGC Update introduced player-created events with prize pools via Paradise Cloud and a flexible tipping jar monetization system. Open-world sailing beyond the invisible wall is in testing, enabling exploration of new locations with loot and treasures. The Builder Games Program was also announced, encouraging developers to build on Paradise IP, Paradise Chain, or Paradise Cloud. As of August 2025, the game had surpassed 1.2 million installs, 250,000 monthly active players, and over 5 million in-game transactions.
