About Ordswap

Ordswap is a decentralized trading platform built on the Bitcoin network, functioning as both an Ordinals marketplace and a non-custodial wallet. Its core business revolves around the AMM (Automated Market Maker) model, similar to Uniswap, allowing users to swap BRC-20 tokens directly against BTC or other BRC-20 tokens without relying on order books. Users can also provide liquidity to specific pools and earn trading fees, or participate in the inscription marketplace for trading individual Ordinals.

The key differentiator is its native-layer AMM design, which solves the liquidity fragmentation problem common in traditional Ordinals marketplaces like Magic Eden or Gamma, where buyers and sellers must wait for matches. By enabling instant swaps and liquidity provision, Ordswap reduces slippage and improves capital efficiency for niche assets. However, its TVL remains modest at around $12 million as of May 2026, and liquidity depth is still thin for less popular tokens, leading to higher slippage compared to Ethereum-based DEXs.

In the past six months (March to September 2026), Ordswap has maintained its position as a second-tier player in the Ordinals ecosystem. The platform supports approximately 300 inscription collections and has integrated with major wallets like UniSat, Xverse, and OKX Web3. A notable negative development is the emergence of phishing websites impersonating Ordswap, which poses risks to users who fail to verify the official domain. Additionally, the platform's smart contract, though audited by CertiK, remains vulnerable to potential exploits, and users have reported occasional transaction delays during network congestion. Despite these challenges, Ordswap continues to serve as a practical tool for BRC-20 traders seeking decentralized exchange functionality without KYC requirements.
