About my.box
.box, from my.box, is an on-chain naming layer whose tagline reads "Your onchain identity. Made simple." and which positions itself as a clean, universal name that stands in for long wallet addresses. The project explains that it works the way a block explorer makes transactions readable, with .box supplying one consistent name usable across wallets, on-chain tools and emerging identity standards.
Holders can use the name to receive funds, show their identity and connect to decentralised apps without typing addresses, as well as for messaging and social apps and for labelling vaults and projects. The project says the naming layer is non-custodial and will adapt as new standards appear so names stay compatible as the ecosystem grows. The project also carries pricing, FAQ and get started entries.
On November 22, Aerodrome and Velodrome suffered a DNS hijack: attackers seized control of the .finance and .box domains through the registrar system used by Box Domains (My.box's operator), and early tallies put over $1 million in stolen assets within one hour; Aerodrome publicly demanded a full investigation.
On August 26, 2026, my.box completed the .box rebuild and reopened minting (BoxV2): .box names are priced at $50 per year, payable by card or crypto, issued on an Ethereum-compatible ENS layer. In September, Tokegon, a real-time motion-capture animation tool incubated by the team for two years, launched alongside a 1,000-piece Hexacat character collection. The my.box site now leads with .box name registration and the Pay payments app.
my.box is expanding native tooling around the .box naming layer, the Pay payments app is in early access, Tokegon and Hexacat keep serving the creator ecosystem, and the BoxV2 contracts will continue iterating with broader payment scenarios.
