Over the past six months (2026-03-04 to 2026-09-04), Monaco has made significant strides. In private alpha, it processed ~$600M in trading volume across ~27,000 signups, with a hybrid off-chain matching/on-chain settlement design achieving sub-1ms execution and <400ms settlement on Sei EVM. In July, Monaco launched on-chain markets for housing, electricity, inflation, and compute resources, expanding beyond traditional perps. It also introduced an RFP program with Sei Labs to build professional interfaces, on-chain CEXs, RWA trading, social trading, cross-chain platforms, and short-duration options, supported by a revenue-sharing model (PitPass). SDK v0.8.5 added backend app statistics, auto-margin funding, and risk simulation. Future roadmap focuses on portfolio margin for institutional-level capital efficiency, maker rebates for all traders, TraderCodes referral system, and expanding into real-world assets and custom indices, aiming to build a decentralized Wall Street on Sei.
