About MEV Protocol
MEV Protocol is a liquid staking protocol centered on the mevETH token. Its core business is simple: users deposit ETH, and in return receive mevETH, a liquid staking token that represents their staked principal plus accumulated rewards. This mevETH can be freely used across DeFi applications—lending, trading, or as collateral—while the underlying ETH continues to generate staking yield and, crucially, MEV rewards.
The protocol's key differentiator is its focus on capturing Maximal Extractable Value (MEV) and distributing it back to stakers. Traditional staking often leaves MEV profits in the hands of validators or sophisticated bots. MEV Protocol aims to democratize this revenue stream, turning staked ETH into a more productive asset that earns not just consensus rewards but also a share of the value extracted from the transaction ordering market.
The market pain point it addresses is twofold: the opportunity cost of locked liquidity in traditional staking, and the opaque, concentrated capture of MEV by a few players. By offering a liquid token that also channels MEV returns to users, it lowers the barrier for ordinary holders to participate in a sophisticated yield source.
Regarding recent developments (March to September 2026), the project has focused on deepening its ecosystem integrations. mevETH has seen expanded utility across several DeFi protocols, and the team has continued to refine its validator set and reward distribution mechanism to maximize transparency and yield efficiency. The protocol has also placed emphasis on community governance, allowing mevETH holders to participate in key decisions. No major negative incidents were reported during this period, though the broader MEV landscape remains competitive and subject to market volatility.
