About GOPAX / Streami
GOPAX, a South Korean cryptocurrency exchange, has recently connected with Deepcoin, becoming the seventh overseas exchange to link with it, enhancing international trading capabilities. Additionally, Binance is seeking to sell most of its shares in GOPAX's operator to Megazone, marking a significant ownership change and strategic shift. These milestones hold long-term significance for GOPAX's development.
In July 2026, Gopax appointed Kim Nayoung, former head of financial business development at AWS Korea, as its new CEO. She stated that top priorities are resolving the GoFi outstanding repayment issue and normalizing management, while also advancing this year's VASP renewal.
Around the same time, Gopax faced prolonged business pressure as its VASP renewal filing remained unaccepted, with daily bitcoin trading volume falling below one coin. Officials said the current focus is on VASP renewal and GoFi repayments, not business expansion.
Future priorities: complete VASP renewal, resolve GoFi customer repayments, strengthen communication with financial authorities, reinforce internal controls and transparent management, and pave the way for system integration with Binance.
