Details

Gitopia is a decentralized code collaboration platform built on the Cosmos SDK, designed as an alternative to centralized hosting services like GitHub. It puts core development workflows—Git repositories, issues, pull requests—on-chain, incentivizes contributors with the LORE token, and supports DAO governance, enabling communities to vote on key decisions such as repository management and treasury spending. Users install the git-remote-gitopia helper, connect a wallet, and then push/pull code using familiar Git commands, while also accessing on-chain features like proposals and governance. Its storage layer combines IPFS and Filecoin to ensure permanent, censorship-resistant code storage.
