About GenLayer

GenLayer, developed by YeagerAI, is building an 'Intelligent Layer' for the internet, enabling AI-driven smart contracts. Key milestones include:

  1. $7.5M Seed Round: Completed a seed financing led by North Island Ventures, with participation from Node Capital, Arrington Capital, ZK Ventures, WAGMI Ventures, BlockBuilders, and Arthur Hayes' family office Maelstrom. This funding validated the project's vision and accelerated development.

  2. Testnet Asimov Launch: Launched the incentivized testnet 'Asimov', introducing the first AI-powered blockchain court and Intelligent Contracts. This marked a shift from traditional smart contracts to AI-integrated, non-deterministic execution.

  3. Mainnet Roadmap: Published a clear path to mainnet, progressing from permissioned validator sets to progressive decentralization, with phases named after sci-fi authors (Asimov, Bradbury, Clarke). This outlines long-term governance and network evolution.

Over the past six months, GenLayer has advanced its Intelligent Layer roadmap with two major milestones.

In March 2026, GenLayer launched Bradbury, its second major testnet, introducing LLM-based consensus where validators select and fine-tune their preferred models. Key features include model routing, greyboxing for security, and a benchmark environment called Bradbury Gym to test inference costs and validator economics.

In July 2026, GenLayer spearheaded the Internet Court protocol, backed by 27 firms including OKX, MetaMask, and Matter Labs. This initiative addresses AI-to-AI commercial disputes by integrating MetaMask's Smart Accounts Kit, ERC-7710 delegations, and the x402 payment standard, enabling interoperable agentic commerce with machine-speed adjudication.

Looking ahead, GenLayer's roadmap centers on Clarke, the upcoming testnet phase, which will introduce automated node monitoring, uptime-based leaderboards, and future delegation mechanisms. These features aim to strengthen validator accountability and network stability ahead of mainnet launch, with progressive decentralization from a permissioned validator set to full openness.
