Details

FriesDAO is a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) that aims to acquire real-world fast-food chains through community crowdfunding and explore operating physical businesses via blockchain governance. Its workflow: community members donate USDC and receive proportional FRIES governance tokens; token holders can vote on proposals deciding fund usage, store acquisitions, and operational strategies. Funds are held in a multisig wallet requiring multiple signatures to move. The project also plans to put store sales and logistics data on-chain and attempt NFT-based membership perks. If no franchise is acquired within the agreed timeframe, donors can redeem tokens at the original ratio (minus expenses). FriesDAO is essentially a social experiment to test whether a decentralized community can effectively manage a real-world commercial brand.
