About Decibel
Decibel, incubated by Aptos Labs, announced its testnet launch in Q4 2025, with mainnet expected in Q1 2026. In early 2026, it introduced protocol-native stablecoin USDCBL, issued by Bridge (a Stripe company), designed as collateral for on-chain perpetuals. The mainnet went live on Feb 26, 2026, after a testnet with 700,000+ accounts and $50M+ in pre-deposits. It became the first fully onchain perpetuals exchange on Aptos, executing all order matching, settlement, and risk management via smart contracts. Integration with Tria expanded cross-chain access. These milestones establish Decibel as a high-performance, transparent trading infrastructure, reducing reliance on offchain risk engines and enabling composable DeFi.
Decibel is a fully onchain trading engine built on Aptos. Key figures include Avery Ching, co-founder and CEO of Aptos, who drives the project; and Sophia Fang, BD Lead at Decibel, responsible for business development.
