About Deadstock
Deadstock is an on-chain platform for tokenized collectibles, focused on graded trading cards. It works by procuring physical cards, having them graded, storing them in a vault, and issuing a 1:1 token for each card. The token represents ownership of the specific physical card, which is held by a partner custodian. This allows users to trade high-value cards onchain without moving the physical item.
The core value proposition is liquidity. The trading card market is fragmented and illiquid, especially for high-end graded cards. Deadstock aims to create a unified liquidity layer by aggregating a large, continuously replenished supply of verified cards. Its exclusive supply partnership with Japan Trading Card Center (JTCC) provides access to a steady stream of graded cards, which helps ensure that the platform has real inventory backing its tokens.
In the past six months (March to September 2026), Deadstock launched its closed beta on Arbitrum, focused on PSA 10 graded Pokémon cards. The waitlist is open, and the team has run community giveaways to attract early users. The project also completed a $2.5 million seed round led by Bullish Capital in September 2026. No major negative events were reported during this period.
Significant progress in the past six months (2026-03-16 to 2026-09-16):
In June 2026, Deadstock entered an exclusive tokenization partnership with Japan Trading Card Center (JTCC), securing a continuously replenished supply of verified cards to underpin deep liquidity.
In June 2026, closed beta launched on Arbitrum, debuting with PSA 10 graded Pokémon cards, using a standardized pipeline of procurement, grading, vaulting, and 1:1 tokenization.
In September 2026, completed a $2.5 million seed round led by Bullish Capital to build global liquidity infrastructure for the trading card market.
Official future roadmap:
- Build open infrastructure connecting retail and institutional participants, creating a unified liquidity layer for tokenized collectibles.
- Anchor pricing, liquidity, and ownership in real physical inventory, expanding into broader collectible categories.
