Credifi

Credifi is an on-chain lending platform that lets users borrow without crypto collateral. Instead, it uses real-world credit data and on-chain reputation to determine loan eligibility. The platform offers two main routes: a standard path that requires a U.S. bank account and good credit history, and an Ethos Network-based path that uses a credibility score of 1,800+ to unlock up to $3,000 in uncollateralized loans with no liquidation or KYC.

Its core value proposition is making DeFi credit more accessible by replacing over-collateralization with verified trust. The platform uses zkTLS and Trusted Execution Environments to verify sensitive financial data without exposing it, and approved borrowers receive an ERC-1155 Credit Certificate that can be evaluated by lending infrastructure. This addresses the pain point of DeFi loans requiring excessive collateral, which limits capital efficiency for creditworthy users.

In the past six months, Credifi launched the Ethos Network integration in late August 2026, enabling uncollateralized borrowing based on reputation scores. The platform also runs a referral program paying $20 per referral. However, no major negative events were reported in the public sources reviewed, though the Ethos route's reliance on social reputation could be a potential weakness if the scoring system is manipulated.
