About Coadjute
Coadjute is a UK-based blockchain platform for property transactions. It connects estate agents, conveyancers, buyers, sellers, and lenders through a shared network, allowing them to exchange documents and updates in real time. The core business is anti-money laundering (AML) compliance: it offers a fully managed service that covers identity verification, source-of-funds checks, and ongoing monitoring, with all records stored on an immutable ledger. The main pain point it addresses is the fragmented and manual nature of property transactions, which often cause delays and compliance gaps. By digitizing workflows and automating AML checks, Coadjute reduces errors and ensures audit readiness.
In the past six months (Feb-Aug 2026), Coadjute launched Clara, an AI-powered digital human that guides buyers and sellers through AML checks, making the process more accessible. It also introduced the Property Super App, a consumer-facing tool that tracks the entire home-moving journey from one interface. The company reported that nearly 70% of UK estate agents now use software connected to its network. However, adoption remains a challenge: the real estate sector has historically resisted digital change, and the value of the network depends on widespread participation, which has not yet reached critical mass. No major negative events were reported in this period.
In the past six months, Coadjute, a UK property-tech company (originating from blockchain, now focused on GRC/AML), has achieved several milestones:
- Completed the full migration to its AI-native AML platform two months ahead of schedule, with all customers onboarded; coinciding with updated HMRC AML guidance, the platform provides a fully managed service combining AI and UK-based compliance specialists.
- Accepted into the FCA's AI Live Testing, allowing AI solutions to be tested in a controlled environment while co-shaping regulatory standards with the regulator.
- Launched "Clara", the UK's first digital human, guiding buyers and sellers through AML evidence collection; every check is still reviewed and signed off by a qualified compliance professional.
- Shifted its strategic positioning to "Governance, Risk and Compliance", emphasising that "screening is not the same as AML", delivering end-to-end capabilities including identity verification, source of funds/wealth, enhanced due diligence, ongoing monitoring and audit-ready reporting.
- Signed a long-term partnership with The Property Franchise Group (TPFG), the UK's largest estate agency franchise group, to deploy the AI AML platform, Terms of Business/Material Information, and Property Sale Packs.
Future focus: continue working with the FCA and industry stakeholders to define responsible AI use in AML; strengthen governance and risk management; launch further innovations to improve compliance efficiency and resilience of property transactions, while maintaining a human-in-the-loop model.
