CAEX

Over the past six months, CAEX completed a capital increase to VND10 trillion (~$380M), becoming the first exchange to meet the minimum capital requirement under Resolution 05/2025/NQ-CP for Vietnam's regulated crypto trading pilot. OKX Ventures and HashKey Capital invested, lifting foreign ownership to 10.6%; CAEX also signed a strategic technology partnership with HashKey Digital Asset Group for institutional-grade exchange technology, compliance and risk control. It received preliminary approval from the Ministry of Finance and appointed Chris Chiew, former Binance global head of spot and custody, as senior advisor. A beta test ran Sept 6-16, 2026 for staff and selected partners to validate user experience and system stability ahead of official operations.

Future focus: launch licensed compliant trading services, strengthen security, compliance and risk management to international standards, deepen collaboration with OKX and HashKey on liquidity and technical infrastructure, and support Vietnam's regulated digital asset market. The roadmap centers on completing information security certification, passing further regulatory reviews, and officially going live.
