In 2022, Vida founded Formula News (the predecessor of BWEnews), focusing on real-time crypto news for global Chinese speakers, establishing the "speed is wealth" news-trading philosophy.
In November 2024, after Binance listed ACT/PNUT, BWEnews used programmatic trading to build a position within seconds, making approximately $3.4 million in one trade. This landmark event showcased the monetization power of news speed and sparked industry debate on information fairness.
Later that month, BWEnews published its Terms of Service, disclosing its news selection mechanism: regex rules, exchange announcements, AI selection, and human editing, strengthening transparency and compliance.
In April 2025, BWEnews officially launched its Websocket API service, enabling programmatic news subscription and evolving from a content media into real-time data infrastructure.
