Details

BuildBear is a private test sandbox platform for Ethereum and EVM-compatible chains. It allows developers to create isolated testnet environments, either by forking from a specific block of an existing blockchain or by building a custom chain from scratch. The platform provides RPC endpoints, native and ERC20 token faucets, block and timestamp manipulation, snapshot and revert capabilities, contract verification, and transaction tracing. Developers can manage sandboxes via a web console, API, or command-line tool (CLI), and integrate wallets such as MetaMask. Core mechanisms include unlocking accounts to impersonate any address, overriding gas estimation, deploying large contracts exceeding the 24KB limit, and supporting third-party services like Gelato, Chainlink VRF, and Safe through plugins.
