About BeWater
BeWater is a Web3 venture studio and global developer platform that organizes hackathons, builder campaigns, and educational programs. It provides a structured SOP-based system for hosting open innovation events, connecting developers, projects, and investors.
Its core value lies in community-driven event execution and ecosystem building. BeWater addresses the pain point of fragmented Web3 developer resources by offering a unified platform where builders can discover opportunities, collaborate, and showcase work. In the past six months (2026-02-28 to 2026-08-29), BeWater has been actively running multiple hackathons and workshops, including the Virtuals Hackathon, Monad Testnet AMA, and TON ecosystem development courses. These initiatives reflect its continued focus on bridging developers with real-world blockchain applications.
One notable challenge is the highly competitive hackathon landscape, where many platforms vie for limited developer attention. However, BeWater's established brand and repeat event cadence help maintain relevance.
BeWater completed a $1 million angel round in September 2023, co-led by ABCDE and OKX Ventures, marking its first major external capital injection and validating its platform model for decentralized hackathons.
Subsequently, BeWater launched its Venture Studio, an incubator and accelerator dedicated to Web3 and AI ecosystems, leveraging its network of over 25,000 GitHub-certified developers and 3,000+ Figma designers to support early-stage projects from zero to one.
Over the past six months, BeWater has advanced its role as a global Web3 developer platform. Key progress includes hosting the BeWater AI Crypto Hackathon (April-May 2026), which attracted nearly 25,000 pre-registered developers, with tracks spanning AI infrastructure, agents/dApps, tokenized AI, and security/privacy, culminating in a Demo Day in Singapore. The platform also launched the DeSoc Hackathon S1, focusing on decentralized social media monetization and ecosystem innovation.
Strategically, BeWater established the BeWater Venture Studio to provide incubation, mentorship, and funding connections for top projects, bridging hackathon outcomes with long-term growth. Official roadmap emphasizes expanding multi-season hackathon series, deepening AI×Crypto convergence, and fostering a collaborative builder community across global hubs. Partnerships with leading VCs (e.g., ABCDE, OKX Ventures, SevenX) and infrastructure providers (e.g., AWS, Cysic) signal a push toward scalable developer tooling and real-world asset tokenization use cases.
