About Artemis
Artemis is a data analytics platform for crypto, best known for its L1 blockchain dashboards. It aggregates on-chain data such as daily active addresses, transaction counts, fees, revenue, and stablecoin flows, standardizing them so investors can compare chains like Solana and Ethereum side-by-side. The core narrative is bringing traditional finance-style fundamental analysis to crypto: instead of chasing token price narratives, Artemis emphasizes metrics like revenue and free cash flow, arguing that real value accrues to entities with sustainable business models. The pain point it solves is the fragmentation and inconsistency of blockchain data—previously, analysts had to manually pull from multiple sources with no common standards. Artemis provides a unified, code-free interface, plus a Sheets plugin that pushes live data into Excel or Google Sheets for financial modeling. In the past six months (March to September 2026), Artemis has expanded beyond pure L1 dashboards into a broader investment terminal called Artemis II, which now covers digital finance, AI, and energy sectors. It also launched ART Chat, an AI-powered assistant that answers natural language queries and generates charts and comparisons, and added support for prediction markets like Kalshi and Polymarket. On the negative side, founder Jon Ma publicly stated that most tokens lack sustainable value support and that blockchain value is increasingly concentrating at the equity level—a candid acknowledgment that much of the market's token supply is not backed by fundamentals. No major scandals or controversies were found in the period.
Artemis was founded in 2022 by Vincent Jow and James Ho during their time at Modular Capital. Its initial internal tool, Goku Stats (gokustats.xyz), later evolved into a crypto data platform for institutional investors. Its core contribution is establishing standardized cross-chain metrics, introducing fundamental analysis to crypto, and pioneering stablecoin data, application-layer revenue, and cross-chain KPI comparisons.
In 2025, Artemis launched Artemis II, positioned as an open investment terminal for all investors, expanding from blockchain data to digital finance, AI, and energy. Later that year, it introduced ART Chat, an AI-powered analysis assistant supporting natural-language queries and integrated into Terminal and Sheets. These milestones mark its evolution from a data tool into a comprehensive investment research platform.
Over the past six months, Artemis underwent a strategic pivot. In April, founder Jon Ma publicly concluded that most tokens lack sustainable value backing, shifting the platform's focus toward equities, digital finance, AI, and energy sectors. The team launched Artemis II, an open investment terminal for all investors, expanding beyond crypto-native data. In May, Artemis deprecated coverage of 122 low-demand assets across its products, streamlining data pipelines. In July, Artemis partnered with S&P and Pantera to launch the S&P Pantera Digital Asset Index, leveraging standardized revenue methodologies and outstanding supply metrics. Looking ahead, Artemis emphasizes fundamental analysis—revenue, free cash flow—as core to asset valuation, and plans to deepen coverage across equities, private markets, and alternative datasets, while maintaining integrity in data standards.
