About Allbridge

Allbridge is a decentralized cross-chain bridge focused on stablecoin transfers. Its core business uses native liquidity pools on each supported chain, avoiding wrapped tokens. Users deposit stablecoins on the source chain, and the equivalent value is transferred via a messaging protocol to the destination chain, where tokens are withdrawn from the pool and sent to the recipient. This design reduces complexity and improves speed.

The main market pain point it addresses is the risk and inefficiency of wrapped tokens in traditional bridges. By using native pools, it eliminates impermanent loss for liquidity providers and supports unique assets like Tron USDT. The bridge also integrates Circle's CCTP for USDC transfers, enhancing security and interoperability.

In the past six months (2026-02-28 to 2026-08-29), Allbridge experienced a significant security incident. On August 19, 2026, an attacker exploited a vulnerability by forging a CCTP-style message on Polygon, claiming a 1 million USDC transfer without actual token burns. After waiting for a real deposit on Base, the attacker used the forged message to credit 1 million USDC internally, then borrowed 809,000 USDC via Aave flash loan to match the balance and withdrew funds, netting about 189,800 USDC. The root cause was insufficient verification of message sender and actual minting status. This highlights the need for stricter validation in cross-chain messaging and asset settlement.
