About Zyfi
Zyfi is a paymaster service built on zkSync, offering gas abstraction solutions. Its core business lets users pay transaction fees with any ERC-20 token instead of the native ETH, or have protocols fully sponsor gas costs. This solves the pain point where users must hold ETH just to interact with dApps, a major barrier for newcomers. Zyfi's competitive edge lies in its native Account Abstraction integration, requiring no contract changes from dApps, and its flexible API that supports both token-based fee payment and custom sponsorship ratios. The service also provides real-time quote data including token prices, fee estimates, and refund predictions, helping developers build smoother UX. It collaborated with 36+ DApps (e.g., PancakeSwap, SyncSwap, KOI) and wallet providers like Magic, now facilitating ~10% of ZKsync Era transactions with 300,000+ users. Zyfi distributed over $70,000 in gas grants to protocols, enabling gas-free experiences. Zyfi was founded by Gauthier Vila, who currently serves as CEO. His background includes founding Ondefy Labs, where he built DeFi products used by over 20,000 users. He also led communications for the EPFL Blockchain Student association and served as a market reporter for the Crypto Valley Association. Under his leadership, Zyfi has rebalanced over $3 billion across individual accounts with zero incidents. No other co-founders or core executives are publicly listed.
