Details

Zeko is a Layer 2 (L2) ecosystem built on Mina Protocol, designed specifically for zkApps (zero-knowledge applications). It operates as a ZK Rollup, processing transactions off-chain in batches and compressing them into a single recursive proof that is settled on Mina L1, thereby increasing throughput and enabling sub-second transaction confirmations. Developers can build zkApps using o1js and deploy them on Zeko, benefiting from unlimited account updates and native recursion support. Zeko supports the creation of application-specific L3 chains (zkAppChains), which can be optimized for particular use cases and ultimately settle back to Mina L1 through the same recursive proof compression mechanism.
