About Verio
Verio is a liquid staking and IP asset restaking platform in the Story ecosystem. Users stake $IP to receive the liquid token $vIP along with staking rewards, then restake $vIP into supported IP assets (such as Sofamon, Globakins, Mimboku, IPPY, etc.) for additional yield.
Its core mechanism is double staking: using capital participation to verify the legitimacy of IP content, transforming DeFi staking into copyright verification infrastructure. This addresses the problem of hard-to-verify IP authenticity and malicious registrations in the Story ecosystem — users vote with real money, and stake amount serves as a legitimacy signal.
In the past six months, Verio's TVL surpassed $50 million, reaching an all-time high. It also released the first Story-based music video, allowing fans to stake directly in support of artists and share IP revenue.
However, $vIP yields around 5.3% annually (about 20% even with a 90-day lock), far below the 200%+ returns seen in Story's DEX and lending markets. Users also need to continuously monitor whether staked IP assets can sustain their yields.
Over the past six months (2026-03-16 to 2026-09-16), Verio has focused on scaling its dual-staking model (IP staking + restaking) and expanding the IP trust engine ecosystem. Key developments include:
TVL surpassed $50 million in March 2026, reaching $51.84 million, with a 590% cumulative increase in Q2, setting a new all-time high.
Launched the first music video on the Story ecosystem, allowing fans to directly stake on artists and share IP revenue.
Upgraded IP asset staking to V2, requiring users to unstake from V1 and migrate staked $vIP to the current V2.
Continued to promote the "Proof of Creativity" gateway and the IP Trust Engine, positioning stake weight as a decentralized legitimacy signal to filter fraudulent or infringing IPs.
Future roadmap priorities: deepening liquid staking integrations (vIP in DeFi/IPFi), expanding IP curation use cases, and further decentralizing IP governance through the trust engine.
