About Veda

Veda is a yield infrastructure protocol built on the BoringVault architecture, designed to simplify how assets generate returns in DeFi. Its core business is providing standardized vault infrastructure that enables any asset—stablecoins, BTC, or others—to be deployed across multiple chains and protocols while maintaining unified accounting, pricing, and risk management.

The key differentiator is its modular, non-custodial design. Vault operations are constrained to a whitelisted set of actions, verified through Merkle proofs, which reduces attack surface and enhances auditability. It supports cross-chain and cross-protocol strategies without requiring users to manually bridge or manage multiple positions, and it integrates with major DeFi primitives like lending markets and DEXs.

The market pain point Veda addresses is the fragmentation and complexity of DeFi yield generation. Users face multiple token forms, chain-specific gas requirements, varying protocol risks, and the need for continuous monitoring. Veda abstracts these into a single vault experience, with real-time valuation and transparent on-chain accounting.

In the past six months (March–September 2026), Veda expanded its partnership with Kraken, launching the Bitcoin Earn vault on Ink (a Kraken L2) that allows BTC deposits to be used as collateral for stablecoin strategies across Ethereum and other chains. This followed the earlier USDC Earn vaults. As of the reporting period, Veda-powered vaults have generated over $2.2 million in net yield, with user deposits exceeding $245 million. The Advanced Strategies USDC vault achieved a 30-day average net yield of 6%, outperforming its benchmark. Kraken also reported new user growth attributed to these vault products.

No significant negative events were identified in the past two years beyond typical DeFi market volatility.

Veda was founded in March 2024, with its core invention being the BoringVault standard, which uses Merkle verification to enhance security. In May 2024, it deployed its first multichain vault with EtherFi, surpassing $1 billion in deposits within two months, validating the B2B model. Since then, Veda's infrastructure has powered products like Kraken and MetaMask. In June 2025, Veda raised an $18 million Series A led by CoinFund, with participation from Coinbase Ventures and others, marking one of the largest raises for a vault protocol. To date, Veda vaults have processed over $16.5 billion in deposits for 300,000 users, making vaults the default infrastructure for on-chain financial products.

Veda's past six months (2026-03-02 to 2026-09-02) show major infrastructure milestones. Kraken DeFi Earn, powered by Veda vaults, surpassed $245M in deposits across three stablecoin vaults, generating $2.2M net yield, with the Advanced Strategies USDC vault delivering 6% 30-day net yield, outperforming benchmark (Blockworks data). In May 2026, Kraken Bitcoin Earn launched across 100+ countries, using BTC as collateral on Ink L2 to deploy stablecoins across Ethereum, enabling cross-chain yield without user wallet management. Cumulative Veda vault infrastructure exceeded $16B lifetime deposits, 270K+ depositors, and $400M total yield.

Key strategic moves: Veda partnered with Privy to embed yield via the Earn API, letting enterprises launch non-custodial vaults without smart contract overhead. Veda also submitted a regulatory proposal to SEC/CFTC, advocating non-custodial smart contract vaults as qualified custody solutions under seven guardrails (no unilateral withdrawal, programmatic enforcement, cryptographic segregation, time-locked governance, security controls, audits, no protocol economic interests).

Future roadmap focuses on: multi-chain expansion (Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, Linea), modular vault upgrades for dynamic strategy rebalancing, deeper institutional integration via Privy, and pursuing regulatory approval for vault-based custody standards through the Joint Harmonization Initiative.
