About Ultramarkets
Ultramarkets is a margin layer built on Polymarket, allowing users to trade prediction markets with up to 10x leverage. Users deposit USDC as margin, borrow funds from a vault, and positions are executed directly on Polymarket's order book. The platform supports both market and limit orders, with limit orders resting natively on Polymarket's CLOB.
The core value proposition is solving the structural gap risk inherent to binary markets. Traditional prediction markets settle at $0 or $1, meaning a position can gap from $0.90 to $0 instantly, causing liquidation failures and bad debt. Ultramarkets addresses this by forcing all positions to auto-close before market resolution, eliminating the binary jump risk entirely. It provides real order execution rather than synthetic derivatives, with continuous health monitoring and liquidation.
Key pain points addressed: no leverage tools existed for prediction markets, and naive leverage solutions faced unavoidable gap risk. By closing positions pre-resolution, Ultramarkets makes leveraged prediction trading safe and capital-efficient.
Development over the past six months (March–September 2026): launched limit orders with partial fills and GTD expiry; rebuilt the transaction history interface with categorized entries; added market search with substring matching; implemented early auto-close notifications; introduced dynamic leverage adjustments per market. One notable incident: dynamic markets created after a backend deploy had malformed Twitter tracking rules, showing zero live tweet counts until manually reactivated, which was fixed and counts reconciled. No funding rounds, roadmap, or team information is disclosed.
Over the past six months (2026-03-04 to 2026-09-04), Ultramarkets has shipped several core infrastructure upgrades. The headline feature is native limit orders on Polymarket's CLOB, allowing traders to open/close leveraged positions at target prices with partial fills, expiry, and full tracking in an Open Orders tab. They also introduced dynamic range markets with a three-layer auto-close protection system (hard close, upper-bound close, reachability close) for live-data markets like Elon tweet counts. The Market Listing Framework (MLP) now governs per-market leverage calibration, ranging from 2x to 10x based on liquidity, volatility, and time to resolution. Portfolio transparency improved with detailed balance breakdowns and full transaction history. Looking ahead, the official roadmap focuses on dynamic leverage (per-market adjustment based on book depth and volatility) and short-term market mechanisms for finance and crypto markets.
