About Tribal Credit

Tribal Credit is a B2B payments and credit platform for emerging-market SMBs, providing multi-currency corporate Visa cards, global transfers and short-term credit to companies in Latin America, the Middle East and beyond since 2019. It solves the gap where small merchants lack credit history yet urgently need payment and working-capital tools: a proprietary AI underwriting model issues virtual cards within ten minutes, and borrowers pay via Tribal Pay along SWIFT, SPEI and the USDC rail on Stellar. Its on-chain lending attempt connects crypto lenders' capital to under-collateralized off-chain borrowers, with the TRIBL token used for rewards, discounts and in-ecosystem settlement.

In the ecosystem, Tribal sits at the bridge of TradFi corporate cards and DeFi on-chain capital, differing from pure crypto lending protocols by first wrapping credit into physical/virtual Visa cards and spend-management backends so borrowers consume directly rather than just swapping. Its products combine corporate cards, Tribal Pay and Boomerang on-chain rewards, targeting emerging-market SMBs that struggle to get bank loans; in division of labor it works with the Stellar Development Foundation to bring stablecoin settlement into real merchant flows, while off-chain borrower qualification remains controlled by the platform's underwriting model.
