About TermMax

TermMax is a decentralized lending AMM built on top of Uniswap v3's infrastructure, designed to offer fixed-rate borrowing and lending with a simplified user experience. Its core innovation is a three-token system: FT (Fixed-rate Token) represents principal with a fixed return, XT (Interest Token) captures variable yield, and GT (Gearing Token) encapsulates leveraged positions. Instead of traditional order books, TermMax uses "Range Orders"—a customized AMM mechanism where users can set their desired price ranges, effectively creating limit orders for interest rates. This allows lenders to lock in predictable returns and borrowers to fix their costs, while liquidity is aggregated across all orders within the same market.

The primary market pain point TermMax addresses is the unpredictability of variable-rate lending protocols like Aave or Compound, where interest rates fluctuate based on utilization. Additionally, leveraged farming typically requires multiple steps—borrowing, swapping, re-depositing—which is complex and error-prone. TermMax simplifies this into a single transaction via GT tokens, and its fixed-rate nature eliminates the risk of rate spikes during volatile periods. The platform also improves capital efficiency by allowing concentrated liquidity within custom price ranges, and its AMM design avoids the fragmentation seen in auction-based fixed-rate protocols.

Over the past six months (2026-03-02 to 2026-09-02), TermMax has expanded beyond Ethereum and Arbitrum to additional EVM chains, including Base and BNB Chain. The protocol's total value locked (TVL) grew to approximately $49 million, with over 100 active markets. In August 2026, the team launched the TMX token via a Token Generation Event (TGE) on Binance Alpha, with initial circulating supply around 20%. Development focused on improving the Range Order engine, reducing slippage, and introducing cross-chain margin capabilities. However, the protocol faced criticism regarding the complexity of its three-token model for novice users, and the TGE's token unlock schedule raised concerns about future sell pressure. Additionally, like many DeFi protocols, TermMax remains exposed to smart contract risks, though no major exploits have been reported in this period.

Updated: Sep 2, 2026

The Term Structure fixed income agreement has officially launched on the mainnet, marking the start of decentralized fixed-rate lending AMM operations.

TermMax plans its TGE on August 25, advancing the project into the token economy phase.
