About Tare
Tare moves the consumer credit lifecycle on-chain, connecting loan originators with institutional capital. Three applications share one registry: an origination system writes standardised loan data at underwriting, a management system handles collections, waterfall allocation and securitisation, and an investment hub lets buyers analyse, purchase and sell whole loans or warehouse facilities. A licensed entity carries lending and compliance duties, claims and cash flows are recorded against the same ledger, and reconciliation loss between servicers, trustees and administrators shrinks, with loan-level performance visible earlier.
A loan can be followed on the ledger: borrower, rate and term are written at underwriting, collections gather each instalment and distribute it by waterfall to funders, fees and reserves; once large enough the pool is packaged into a securitisation with notes and cash flows split by rule. The licensed entity lends, the servicer collects, the trustee watches cash flows.
On September 16, 2026 Tare publicly disclosed a $13.25 million seed round led by Blockchain Capital with Janus Henderson, the Avalanche Foundation, and angels like Aave's Stani Kulechov; the round had closed in March. Tare is building private-credit infrastructure on Avalanche, linking loan originators and investors through a shared ledger and automating origination, servicing, and securitization.
Future strategy and roadmap: Tare will begin originating unsecured personal loans to U.S. borrowers through its Tare Credit LLC lending entity from September 2026 and operationalize its three apps for loan origination, servicing and an investor hub; building private credit infrastructure on Avalanche that automates origination, servicing and securitization, it will pursue required lending licenses and bring its auditable shared ledger to third-party lenders and institutional investors, targeting the 6 to 8 trillion dollar ABF market.
Tare was founded by three founders with backgrounds in credit and crypto. Chief executive Kevin Miao spent his early career in structured finance, built BlockTower Credit inside BlockTower in 2022 to bring institutional credit workflows onchain, and later joined Strobe Ventures as an investor, where he built relationships with institutional desks. Co-founder Keerthi Moudgal was head of product at J.P. Morgan Kinexys, where he led work on tokenized repo and corporate bond issuance, and at Tare he turns origination, servicing and securitisation into software. The third co-founder, Lucas Vogelsang, co-founded and formerly ran Centrifuge and is credited with early framing of the real-world asset narrative. The three teamed up in Brooklyn around 2024, organised into underwriting, engineering, compliance and product groups, drawing on traditional finance and blockchain engineering talent, with management reporting directly to the three founders. The team includes credit experts from large banks as well as engineers steeped in onchain protocols, with the underwriting and engineering lines led respectively by the founders.
