Its core competitiveness lies in "native-asset denomination and claims settlement": traditional insurance pays out in fiat, and when crypto prices surge, the real protection of a fiat-denominated policy shrinks significantly. Soter's policies settle directly in BTC/ETH, so the coverage amount fluctuates in tandem with asset value, eliminating "currency mismatch" risk and truly aligning the risk exposure with the insured asset.

Regarding market pain points, the digital asset industry has long suffered from insufficient insurance supply: traditional insurers lack professional capabilities to assess on-chain risks, private key management, and staking protocols, leaving institutional clients either unable to secure adequate coverage or under-protected due to fiat payouts. Soter addresses the missing "last line of defense" for institutional capital entry through customized policies and on-chain risk pricing.

In the past six months (Feb 2026 – Aug 2026), Soter achieved two key milestones: first, it obtained a Category 4 insurance intermediation license from the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA), enabling compliant operations in the UAE and MENA region, with policies underwritten through local insurance partners; second, it launched the world's first ETH-denominated slashing insurance, providing native-asset payout protection for Ethereum validators and staking service providers, further expanding its native-asset insurance product matrix.
