About Sommelier
Sommelier launched its mainnet on Cosmos SDK in 2022, introducing a non-custodial, validator-governed vault protocol with a proprietary bridge to Ethereum. This established the foundation for off-chain computation and private strategy execution.
In February 2024, the v7 upgrade integrated Axelar's general message passing, enabling multichain deployments beyond Ethereum while avoiding asset bridging. This marked a strategic shift toward alt-EVM networks and expanded the protocol's design space.
Later in 2024, Sommelier deployed its first Arbitrum vault, Real Yield ETH, which leveraged leveraged staking and concentrated liquidity on Uniswap V3. This demonstrated the protocol's ability to adapt strategies across different execution environments and marked its entry into the L2 ecosystem.
