About Solar
Solar is a Chinese-language cultural brand of the Solana ecosystem, rooted in the Solana Chinese community. It serves Chinese-speaking users and developers worldwide through online/offline events, developer education, and localized content. Its core activities include organizing ecosystem events, running developer bootcamps, and maintaining community channels (official website, X, Telegram).
To address the pain points of high entry barriers, scattered learning resources, and a lack of systematic practice paths for Chinese-speaking developers, Solar partners with the Solana Foundation, 0x, Titan, and MagicBlock, together with 21 developer communities and 21 university blockchain associations, to run a six-month, three-season Solana technical bootcamp covering a complete gradient from blockchain fundamentals to enterprise-grade practice, with weekly office hours for Q&A.
Over the past half year, Solar advanced Season 2 of the bootcamp (ecosystem-track project practice) from late March to April 2026, held Hacker House and Vibe Coding Day events in Shenzhen, Shanghai, and Singapore, and a Solana Mixer in Hong Kong; Season 3 (enterprise technical practice) ran from May to June. Graduates receive hardware wallets, NFT certificates, and priority access to ecosystem job opportunities.
Regarding negative information, no major adverse events were found for Solar itself within scope, but the underlying Solana ecosystem experienced a sharp decline in DEX volume and fees and a $285 million Drift exploit during the same period, which affected community activity to some extent.
Solar originated from the official Solana Chinese community and completed a brand upgrade in July 2024, transforming into a decentralized Chinese-language community organization, marking a key shift in its governance model. Solar continues the original community mission, focusing on building the Chinese-language ecosystem by organizing online and offline events, localized developer education, and hackathon support, having facilitated over 250 Chinese-language projects participating in Solana hackathons, forming a sustainable contributor network. Additionally, Solar has partnered with the Solana Foundation and others to establish technical bootcamps, collaborating with leading developer communities and university blockchain associations in the Chinese-speaking region to offer systematic courses from beginner to advanced levels, laying the groundwork for long-term ecosystem talent reserves. These milestones collectively establish Solar's long-term position as a hub for the Solana Chinese-speaking ecosystem.
