About Silo Protocol
Silo runs isolated lending markets on Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, Avalanche, Sonic and OP Mainnet, where each market consists of two single-asset vaults, one holding the collateral and one holding the loan asset, in a one-directional pairing with independent parameters.
Interest rates follow a three-segment kinked utilisation curve with continuous compounding, and collateral can be set to non-borrowable so risk stays inside a single market. Silo v3, live on 24 March 2026, introduced dual liquidation thresholds and a collateral-debt swap: above the DEX liquidation threshold positions are sold on market as usual, while above the swap threshold the protocol converts collateral into the debt asset at a discount and repays lenders first, so solvency no longer depends on immediate depth, with most liquidation fees routed to lenders. Silo Vaults and Hooks let third parties deploy markets with custom rates, oracles and LTVs. TVL stood at USD 133 million in Q1 2026, making Silo the largest lending protocol on Sonic by deposits.
Silo Finance launched Silo v3 on March 26, 2026, adding a protocol-level solvency mechanism: when collateral cannot be liquidated efficiently on a DEX, the protocol swaps the collateral asset into the debt asset at a discount to fully cover lenders, governed by two immutable liquidation thresholds. Most liquidation fees flow to lenders as a second yield stream alongside interest, and a new lending app adds risk scoring and market-level disclosure. v3 supports LP positions, liquid staking receipts, time-locked vault receipts and assets with offchain redemption paths as collateral.
Silo Finance's Future strategy and roadmap: Silo plans to widen collateral types and curated vaults across isolated markets, replicate v3 markets on more EVM chains, and keep disclosing oracle dependencies and liquidation paths under stress.
