About Shield Protocol

Shield Protocol is a decentralized options vault protocol on BNB Chain for depositors seeking option-premium yield through structured products and for traders who want to hedge or take directional views. Vaults sell options against depositor capital and delta-hedge the exposure to collect premium, with SS-Vault and M-Vault covering single-asset and multi-asset strategies. The protocol also opens vault issuance: any long-tail token with sufficient DEX depth can have an options vault created by its project or a market maker, which quotes implied volatility and takes the counterparty side.

It sits closer to options-selling infrastructure than to an exchange: there is no matching engine, risk is managed through market-maker quotes and vault parameters, and return comes from the volatility risk premium, with vaults rolling positions by expiry and settling premium.
