About SheFi
SheFi is an educational platform for women and non-binary people focused on Web3 and AI. It runs cohort-based programs with live classes, hands-on demos, and peer support. The website lists three paid offerings: an AI intensive at $2,500, a four-week digital assets cohort at $999 (scholarships available), and a $399/year community for practitioners. Its core narrative is "literacy is leverage," targeting low participation and confidence among women in crypto and AI by lowering entry barriers through small-group teaching and global mutual-aid networks, plus free scholarships to expand reach.
Over the past six months: in July 2026, it officially launched a Philippines chapter with offline events; Season 17, run with Solana and starting mid-July, consists of eight classes over four weeks covering wallets, DeFi, stablecoins, staking, etc., with an apparent goal of teaching 2,000+ women to use Solana, in partnership also with Phantom, Rootstock Collective, and Decentraland; the SheFi Nigeria community appeared at Solana Summit Nigeria; in August it launched the "Class Is In Session" series explaining AI and machine learning in plain language; and it held a Web3-career class emphasising public portfolios and personal branding. Public web traffic data shows a recent decline in visits to its site.
Founded by Maggie Love in April 2020 during the pandemic, SheFi began as a Zoom-based DeFi education series called "A Date with SheFi," with 20 women in the first cohort. In spring 2021, the first in-person NYC meetup with 8 members proved the power of physical community, leading to the decision to build both education and community. By 2023, SheFi had grown to 1,700 members across 50+ countries, launched its Chapter Lead program, hosted a sold-out Women in Web3 Summit at ETHDenver, and issued a membership NFT on Polygon. In 2024, the community surpassed 14,000 members globally, expanded summits to Singapore and Bangkok, and integrated AI topics into the curriculum. By 2025, SheFi reached nearly 10,000 members (with cumulative alumni far exceeding that), 100+ countries, 51 chapter leads, and 13 cohorts, marking its evolution from a course into a global movement for women and non-binary folks in Web3.
In the past six months, SheFi announced an official partnership with Solana for Season 17, focusing on the Solana ecosystem with topics including wallets, DeFi, stablecoins, staking, and trading. Simultaneously, SheFi launched the Inner Circle membership community, with the first gathering attracting 153 women from 6 continents and 150+ companies, including 50+ founders and executives. The community now exceeds 30,000 members.
Looking ahead, SheFi will deepen its collaboration with Solana, expand ecosystem education, and introduce an AI Cohort course. It will also grow the Inner Circle membership to provide career development support. The organization remains committed to empowering women in frontier technologies and driving broader participation in Web3.
Maggie Love, Founder & CEO of SheFi. She entered blockchain in 2016 while at IBM, later joined ConsenSys as Director of Strategic Initiatives, and co-founded W3bCloud, a joint venture with AMD for Ethereum mining infrastructure. In 2019, she founded SheFi to empower women in Web3. She serves on Aave Grants DAO and Polygon Grants Community Treasury Board, and mentors at Tachyon accelerator. SheFi has educated 7,000+ women across 98+ countries.
