About SendingNetwork
SendingNetwork builds decentralised communication infrastructure, close to a programmable TCP/IP for Web3: the network has access, relay and consensus layers, messages are end-to-end encrypted against wallet addresses, relay nodes earn through proof of relay, and developers can call its messaging to add chat, notifications and payments to their apps. The official app combines messaging with a wallet and supports token-gated communities. It targets data retention, censorship and account bans on centralised platforms.
Making communication a protocol rather than an app gives composability, since any wallet app can plug into one message layer and users need not register per dApp. The hard part is cold start: a messaging network is only valuable when both sides are online, and node rewards depend on real traffic, each a precondition for the other. From June to July 2026 the team pivoted its narrative to communication infrastructure for AI agents, promising always-on message channels for agents, but public product updates mostly date from 2024 and recent verifiable data on mainnet and node economics is scarce.
SendingNetwork, a Web3-native communication infrastructure, has progressed through several key milestones since its inception.
In January 2024, the project published its whitepaper on arXiv, formally introducing its architecture combining edge computing, libp2p-based relay networks, Double Ratchet encryption for group chats, and a delegation scheme for scalable messaging. This laid the theoretical foundation for its decentralized communication stack.
In March 2024, SendingNetwork launched Testnet Alpha-1, initiating its bandwidth mining program and marking the first live deployment of its incentivized node network. This was followed in May 2024 by the WatchDog Node sale, which sold 3,000 early slots within 6 hours and exceeded $1.8 million in 24 hours, demonstrating strong community demand for decentralized communication infrastructure.
In June 2024, Testnet Alpha-2 went live with a 500,000 SXP reward pool, and the project introduced its Proof of Relay consensus mechanism based on KZG commitments, enabling verifiable message relay workloads without centralized intermediaries.
Beyond technical milestones, SendingNetwork engaged in industry discourse. Following Telegram's privacy policy changes after its founder's arrest, SendingNetwork positioned itself as a privacy-preserving alternative, emphasizing zero data retention and end-to-end encryption. At the DeInsight 2024 roundtable, its business development lead discussed the future of SocialFi, suggesting it may ultimately serve hybrid human-AI entities rather than humans alone.
These developments—from whitepaper publication, testnet launches, node sales, consensus innovation, to privacy advocacy—represent SendingNetwork's long-term strategic milestones in building a decentralized communication layer for Web3.
