About Scalar Field
Scalar Field was founded in 2025 and selected for the Y Combinator Spring 2025 batch, positioning itself as an "agentic trading desk" that turns investment ideas into research, backtests, and live trading agents.
In 2025, the platform publicly launched with an architecture separating the reasoning layer from the execution layer: agents can use LLMs for research and reasoning, then run strategies through an event-driven execution layer with approximately 300 ms event-to-trade latency. It also introduced paper trading capabilities.
In June 2026, Scalar Field demonstrated its first complete agentic trading workflow — the "India-born CEO Succession Strategy" — covering the full pipeline from research and backtesting to live monitoring and execution, validating the platform's closed-loop capability. By mid-2026, it had accumulated roughly 800 paying traders, over 34,000 signups, and $74,000 in monthly recurring revenue, marking an initial transition from tool to ecosystem.
