About STRATO

STRATO is a DeFi platform that tokenizes physical gold and silver, bringing precious metals onchain as GOLDST and SILVST tokens, each backed 1:1 by metal vaulted in New York City and audited monthly. Its core offering is USDST, a stablecoin pegged to the US dollar, minted via Collateralized Debt Positions (CDPs) using crypto assets like ETH, BTC, and tokenized metals as collateral. Users can borrow USDST at roughly 2-3% annual stability fees, earn yield through a Savings Vault powered by an arbitrage bot, and provide liquidity in swap pools.

The platform addresses the pain point that traditional gold and silver are illiquid, costly to store and transfer, and difficult to use in DeFi, leaving over $30 trillion in precious metals sitting idle. By tokenizing these assets, STRATO enables instant transfer, infinite divisibility, and easy leverage, while maintaining physical redeemability.

In the past six months (March to September 2026), STRATO launched Season 2 of its rewards program, distributing 11,111.11 reward points daily across 10 on-chain activities, with incentive APYs ranging from 91% to 565% depending on activity. The program allocates approximately 1% of total token supply over its ~12-week run through Q2 2026. Additionally, STRATO staking went live on mainnet, allowing users to delegate tokens to validators and earn a share of protocol revenue, with a target yield of 9.3% at launch. The platform also engaged Consensys Diligence for continuous auditing of its codebase, including the SolidVM virtual machine.

Updated: Sep 4, 2026

Since March 2026, STRATO has advanced steadily. In March, the vault audit confirmed 711 oz gold and 46,082 oz silver backing. In July, staking went live on mainnet, letting users delegate STRATO and earn protocol revenue (borrower interest and fees), with a 9.3% target yield and 7-day unbonding. In August, Consensys Diligence completed a security review of the native bridge and timelock governance.

Looking ahead, STRATO plans to evolve staking into full delegated proof-of-stake, with validator selection affecting rewards. A Token Generation Event is expected in Q4 2026, after which token functionality will roll out. The roadmap also focuses on expanding the gold/silver-backed DeFi ecosystem, including broader USDST adoption and deeper liquidity.
