Railnet

Railnet is institutional yield-vault infrastructure launched and incubated by staking provider Kiln, where regulated asset managers build strategies and exchanges, wallets, custodians and neobanks distribute yield products to clients through a single interface, currently on Ethereum mainnet. It targets the assumption of instant settlement in ERC-4626 and ERC-7540: tokenised Treasuries involve KYC rejections, multi-day settlement and redemption cut-offs, private credit has off-chain repayment events, and the standards cannot express them; Railnet lets liquid DeFi positions and asynchronous RWAs share one vault and one share price. A STEAM state machine governs asset state transitions, with yield-source and operating Vehicles separated and KYC, KYT and geofencing built in.

On 18 March 2026 CoinShares announced the first on-chain strategy running on Railnet, combining six yield sources including DeFi lending, institutionally guaranteed lending, tokenised RWAs and delta-neutral strategies; in August the site showed the CoinShares USDC Vault at about USD 378.4 million with a 7-day yield near 5.8%, and Monarq had connected. Contracts are audited by Spearbit and Trail of Bits. Complexity in institutional vaults sits in compliance checks and redemption queues, and lag in net asset value updates affects the continuity of share pricing.
