About REP
REP builds a portable onchain reputation layer that aggregates a user's public activity across wallets, social accounts and apps into a verifiable profile any application can read instead of building its own scoring. It targets reputation locked inside individual platforms, users restarting from zero on each new app, and the difficulty of distinguishing bots and sybil accounts.
The mechanism links accounts to read public data and generate achievements and rankings, with users disclosing proofs selectively rather than raw data, so credentials can be verified without exposing full history. It promoted distribution at industry conferences in the first half of 2026 and reports millions of achievements generated. The familiar problem for reputation systems is cold start and cross-platform adoption — value only appears once apps consume the data.
On August 25, 2026, REP Labs released its first consumer application built on a verifiable context graph, and co-founder and CEO Max Choly announced the launch.
On the same day, REP announced that its achievement system covered X, Polymarket, Hyperliquid, Ethereum, Base, and BNB Chain, and launched REP Chats and Leaderboards, with more than 700 achievements in total.
On September 17, 2026, REP completed an angel round, with more than 20 founders and operators from ecosystems and institutions such as BlackRock, Ethereum, Snap, Symbiotic, Mellow, Meta, and Nike participating; the exact amount was not disclosed.

In 2026 REP Labs launched its cross-platform verified-context graph and first consumer application, aggregating on-chain activity across X, Polymarket, Hyperliquid, Ethereum, Base and BNB Chain into a single, user-owned verifiable reputation profile. The graph already spans over 3.4 million users across four platforms, including more than 250,000 verified spenders, with up to roughly 20% monthly-active-wallet penetration in some ecosystems.
REP closed an angel round disclosed on September 17, 2026 with 12 investors including Anton Bukov, and advisors come from the Ethereum Foundation, Consensys, Symbiotic, BlackRock and Mask and Lens Networks (Suji Yan).
REP is built by REP Labs, a small applied-cryptography and AI team led by co-founder and chief executive Max Choly. He has spent his career at the seam between social graphs and decentralised identity, and his argument is blunt: context is the new wealth. Behaviour people leave across platforms should be portable and provable, not trapped inside whichever app happened to record it.
The team keeps a lean research and engineering headcount, with advisers and backers from the Ethereum Foundation, Consensys, Symbiotic, BlackRock and Mask & Lens Networks, and public endorsements from Suji Yan, Misha Putiatin and Kevin Tang. Choly owns company and protocol direction, while research and engineering proceed in small parallel groups weighted toward research engineers.
