About RD Technologies
RD Technologies is a Hong Kong-based fintech company focused on regulated stablecoin issuance and cross-border payment infrastructure. Its core business includes OristaPay, a payment platform that connects traditional fiat systems with stablecoin rails, enabling businesses to settle cross-border transactions faster and at lower cost.
The company's competitive edge lies in its licensed status under Hong Kong's regulatory framework, which allows it to operate legally in the stablecoin space. Its dual-track architecture—supporting both fiat and stablecoin settlement—provides flexibility for enterprises navigating different regulatory environments.
The market pain point it addresses is the inefficiency of traditional cross-border payments: high fees, slow settlement times (often 2-5 business days), and lack of transparency. RD Technologies solves this by offering near-instant settlement, lower transaction costs, and full visibility into fund flows, particularly benefiting businesses operating in emerging markets.
In the past six months (Feb-Aug 2026), RD Technologies expanded its global collection network to 20 countries, adding coverage in Africa (Ivory Coast, Senegal, Cameroon, Uganda), Latin America (Chile), and Asia (Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia). The company also conducted on-the-ground engagements in Ghana and Zambia, meeting with regulators and banks to build local partnerships. These efforts aim to deepen its presence in African trade corridors, especially for businesses trading with China and wider Asia.
RD Technologies, a Hong Kong-based fintech group, has been building compliant stablecoin infrastructure since its founding in 2020. A key milestone came in July 2024 when its subsidiary RD InnoTech Limited was admitted to the HKMA's stablecoin issuer sandbox, allowing the company to test its Hong Kong dollar stablecoin HKDR under regulatory supervision. This positioned RD Technologies among the first movers in Hong Kong's regulated stablecoin landscape.
In September 2024, the company completed its Series A1 financing with backing from strategic investors including HongShan, Hivemind Capital, and Aptos Labs. This was followed by a larger Series A2 round in July 2025, raising approximately US$40 million led by ZA Global, with participation from China Harbour, Bright Venture, and others. The funding supported the company's vision of bridging Web2 and Web3 through real-world use cases.
A significant development was the partnership with Chainlink to integrate HKDR with Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) and Proof of Reserve, enhancing the stablecoin's cross-chain capabilities and on-chain transparency. These milestones collectively underscore RD Technologies' strategic role in advancing Hong Kong's position as a global Web3 hub, with HKDR designed as a transparent, 1:1 HKD-backed stablecoin for cross-border payments and asset tokenization.
