Details

Powerball is a lottery-style project on the Solana blockchain, with its token being $BALL. Its core mechanism is an hourly drawing: participants must hold $BALL tokens, and every 10,000 $BALL grants one raffle entry. The drawing process uses Chainlink VRF (Verifiable Random Function) to generate random numbers, ensuring unpredictability and resistance to manipulation. The project emphasizes verifiability: before each drawing, the SHA-256 hash of the participant snapshot is committed on-chain, and after the drawing anyone can verify the hash, the random number, and the correctness of the winner calculation. Prizes are paid in ETH, and the contract logic enforces that the random number modulo the total tickets must match the winner, otherwise the transaction reverts. The project is positioned as an entertainment-focused memecoin, not investment advice, and reminds participants to only use funds they can afford to lose and to ensure it is legal in their jurisdiction.
