About Portals
Portals is a DeFi aggregation platform that bundles complex multi-step operations (swaps, bridges, deposits) into a single click, covering 400+ protocols and 9+ networks with 20M+ tracked opportunities.
Market pain point: DeFi is highly fragmented — users must jump across chains, protocols, and token standards to find and enter yield positions, which is time-consuming and error-prone. Developers face similar friction integrating data and execution across siloed platforms.
Core strengths: The platform provides unified discovery through the Explorer (ranked by on-chain metrics like APY consistency and liquidity depth), the API for data/routing/execution (including the Warpdrive aggregator and Zaps API for one-call position entry), and Foresight for pre-transaction simulation that reveals asset changes, gas costs, and human-readable revert reasons. This combination of discovery, execution, and safety verification creates a vertically integrated infrastructure.
Recent developments (2026-03-03 to 2026-09-03): The July dev update reports expansion of protocol coverage by 90+ new integrations, lifting total to 400+. The historical data API now serves 16–18 billion rows, enabling backtesting. The upcoming V3 endpoint consolidates quote, approval, and simulation into a single request, simplifying developer workflows. Warp Drive 2, a new routing engine using directed-graph smart order routing, is in finalization to improve multi-hop execution across fragmented liquidity. No material negative events were found in the covered period.
Portals launched on Robinhood Chain in July 2026, marking its expansion into the RWA-focused L2 ecosystem with full API and Explorer support. The cross-chain API became a core milestone, enabling atomic multi-chain operations such as bridging, swapping, and depositing in a single transaction across 8+ networks. The product suite matured with Explorer, API, and Foresight simulation, while infrastructure scaled to index 16+ billion historical rows. The V3 Portal endpoint unified quote, approval, and execution into one request, and Warp Drive 2 introduced an on-chain order book routing engine for optimized multi-hop paths. These developments represent foundational shifts in execution architecture and data accessibility, not incremental UI changes.
Portals has expanded network coverage to Flare and Plasma, integrating their DeFi ecosystems including FAssets, stablecoin protocols, and leading DEXs.
The data infrastructure was upgraded with a 16-18 billion row historical transaction API, enabling deep backtesting and yield analysis. The V3 Portal Endpoint consolidates quote, approval, and execution into a single request, while Warp Drive 2.0 introduces on-chain order book routing for optimized multi-hop swaps.
Portals Foresight, a simulation API, is now live with 1,000 free monthly simulations, offering ABI decoding and state tracing. The data API has been restructured into subscription tiers to support expanded historical data access.
Future roadmap focuses on further chain integrations, enhanced routing efficiency, and broader institutional-grade data services.
