About Partior

Partior is a blockchain-based interbank payment network that enables financial institutions to settle cross-border payments in real time, 24/7, in multiple currencies. Its core value lies in providing 'instant finality'—meaning once a payment is executed, it is completed immediately and cannot be reversed. This is achieved through a shared ledger where funds are settled atomically, eliminating the need for intermediaries and reducing operational delays.

The main pain point Partior addresses is the inefficiency of traditional correspondent banking, which often involves multiple intermediaries, long processing times, high fees, and settlement risks. By using a private permissioned blockchain, Partior ensures that only authorized institutions participate, while offering features like pre-validation of beneficiaries to reduce errors and rejections. It also supports atomic settlement for Payment-versus-Payment (PvP) and Delivery-versus-Payment (DvP), ensuring that both legs of a transaction occur simultaneously, which removes counterparty risk.

In the past six months (February to August 2026), Partior has made significant progress. In July 2026, Emirates NBD became the first bank in the MENAT region to go live on the network, enabling real-time USD payments for its corporate clients. Also in July, Partior completed a proof of concept with OpenAssets, demonstrating atomic Delivery-versus-Payment between digital assets and tokenized deposits. In August 2026, Partior signed a memorandum of understanding with SOOHO.IO to connect Korean financial institutions to its global settlement rails, leveraging South Korea's deposit-token infrastructure. These developments show Partior's expanding reach and its ability to integrate with various digital asset ecosystems.

In the past six months (March to September 2026), Partior achieved several key milestones:

  • In July 2026, Emirates NBD went live on Partior, becoming the first bank in the MENAT region to enable real-time blockchain-based cross-border USD payments. The first transaction had J.P. Morgan as settlement and beneficiary bank, and USD payments are now available to corporate and institutional clients.
  • Also in July, Partior and OpenAssets completed a proof of concept demonstrating atomic delivery-versus-payment (DvP) between digital assets, stablecoins, and tokenized deposits, validating tokenized deposits as a settlement asset.
  • In August, Partior signed a strategic MOU with Korea's SOOHO.IO to connect Korean deposit-token infrastructure to global settlement rails, building on participation in the Bank of Korea's CBDC trial (Project Hangang).

Future focus and roadmap:

  • Expand to additional currencies, settlement corridors, and participating banks globally.
  • Build an interoperable ecosystem across financial market infrastructures, enabling stablecoin and tokenized deposit interoperability and optimizing liquidity efficiency.
  • Leverage programmable liquidity management to improve settlement speed and transparency.
