About Palladium

Details

Palladium is a decentralized stablecoin protocol built on Bitcoin, developed by Palladium Labs and operating on Botanix, a Bitcoin L2 secured by Spiderchain. Its core function allows users to mint the PUSD stablecoin by over-collateralizing BTC, thereby gaining access to interest-free liquidity. PUSD's peg stability is maintained through algorithmically adjusted redemption and minting fees, as well as economically incentivized arbitrage, rather than relying on centralized governance or traditional banking infrastructure. The protocol employs a governance-less mechanism where all rules are enforced by smart contract code, aiming to address the single point of failure in DeFi where stablecoins depend on traditional financial rails.
