About Ordinalsbot
OrdinalsBot is an inscription tool in the Bitcoin Ordinals ecosystem. It helps users "inscribe" data such as images and text onto the Bitcoin chain, and also provides batch minting, API access, and BRC-20 token deployment. Its core value was simplifying the early cumbersome inscription process—previously users needed to download a full node and use command-line tools, while OrdinalsBot allowed ordinary people to mint in seconds. Thanks to this convenience, it handled minting for notable projects like Runestone and Bitcoin Punks, serving over 110,000 wallet addresses.
In the past six months, however, OrdinalsBot announced it was shutting down. The team said the Ordinals market had contracted sharply over the past year, and after restructuring and pivot attempts, operations were no longer viable. They decided to sell the entire asset package—brand, domains, social media accounts, GitHub, and a tech stack spread across more than 90 repositories—rather than let the value slowly drain away. This has become a symbolic contraction case for the sector. Its TRIO token price also fell 99.9% from its all-time high.
