About OTC

OTC at otcdesks.cash is a Solana protocol made of two products: a token launcher where coins assign their creator fees to the protocol, which claims them about once a minute and spends 67.5% buying that coin's designated tokenized stock, such as NVDAx or SPYx or a basket, on the open market for pro rata distribution to holders; and desks, Metaplex Core NFTs with attached vaults that receive an equal share whenever the shared fee pot buys stock in a round.

The protocol describes itself as a machine that turns revenue into holder rewards, with replaceable products and public fee splits and wallet addresses, so every buy, distribution and mint is traceable on-chain. In September 2026 reward distribution moved from server-side pushes to permissionless on-chain Merkle claims, migrating 86,167 balances and no longer skipping low-value shares. Revenue depends entirely on launcher activity and OTC's own trading fees, so the fee pot fluctuates with the market, and redemption terms and legal rights of the tokenized stocks are set by their issuers, meaning vault holdings are not the same as shares in a brokerage account.

Buybacks and burns: The protocol spends 10% of creator fees from newly launched coins on market buybacks and burns of OTC, and minting a Desk NFT burns OTC too; supply has fallen from 1B to about 691M tokens, and wallets holding at least $20 of OTC receive SOL payouts every 12 hours.

Key developments: On September 1 LBank listed the OTC/USDT spot pair; on September 9 the rewards system was rebuilt from server-pushed payments to permissionless on-chain Merkle claims, migrating 86,167 balances and ending the practice of skipping sub-rent payouts; on-chain checks on September 25 showed mint and freeze authorities revoked, the main pool LP 100% locked, and about 18,480 holders.
