About Nara
Nara is a programmable credit layer for cross-border payment flows. It connects on-chain liquidity with short-term payment financing needs by issuing a synthetic dollar, NaraUSD. In cross-border payments, settlement typically takes days, leaving payment institutions with liquidity gaps. Nara provides short-term financing to these institutions, while users earn returns by holding NaraUSD or staking it as NaraUSD+.
Market pain point: traditional cross-border settlement is slow, payment institutions face liquidity shortages, and on-chain funds lack stable, low-risk yield sources. Nara bridges both sides, giving payment institutions access to capital and on-chain users access to yield.
Core competitiveness: returns are low-correlated with crypto markets because they derive from real payment flows; duration is short (usually under 7 days), ensuring liquidity; credit quality is high due to real payment backing. NaraUSD+ offers double-digit annualized returns.
Recent development: In the past six months, Nara completed its on-chain layer development, covering minting and redemption of NaraUSD, vault accounting for NaraUSD+, and yield distribution. Launch partners Mansa and Hercle have secured over $60 million in assets for the protocol, showing Nara has moved from concept to actual deployment.
Nara is positioned as a programmable credit layer for cross-border payments, with core products being the synthetic dollar NaraUSD and its yield-bearing version NaraUSD+, backed by real short-term payment receivables.

- At launch, partners including Mansa and Hercle brought over $60M in assets, validating the model of converting cross-border payment financing into on-chain yield assets.
The team includes the founder of Clearpool, CEO of Hex Trust, and the former head of FDUSD issuance, forming a long-term trust foundation.
