About Nano Labs

Nano Labs (Nasdaq: NA), originally a fabless chip design company, focuses on high-throughput/high-performance computing chips, including the Cuckoo series for Grin mining ASICs, Darkbird for iPollo Bitcoin miners, and Darksteel for distributed computing and storage. Its core narrative has shifted toward Web3 infrastructure and a crypto treasury, with BNB as its primary reserve asset per its official site.

The market pain points include high power consumption and inefficiency from crypto mining and AI-intensive computing, as well as volatile revenue from the traditional chip business. The company attempts to respond with proprietary ASICs and distributed storage while allocating digital assets within its capital framework.

In the past six months (March–September 2026), it launched the iPollo ClawPC A1 Mini supporting the OpenClaw AI Agent system, held 70,000 BNB as a long-term reserve as of August 2026, and completed about US$3.2 million in share repurchases. However, H1 2026 results were weak: net revenue was only RMB2.8 million, down year over year; a RMB250.5 million fair-value loss on cryptocurrencies due to falling BNB prices led to a RMB316.7 million net loss, a large deterioration from the prior-year period. Overall, the company remains in transition, with legacy hardware sales shrinking and results highly exposed to crypto market swings.

Nano Labs, a Nasdaq-listed crypto mining chip designer, has strategically expanded its digital asset reserves. It purchased approximately $50 million worth of BNB, raising total digital asset reserves to $160 million, and later increased BNB holdings to 128,000 coins with a strategic reserve value exceeding $100 million. The company also invested $5 million in CEA Industries Inc., a BNB strategic reserve company. In partnership with Orbiter Finance, Nano Labs launched a compliant stablecoin cross-chain solution. Financially, it reported a net income of 8.3 million RMB for the first half of the year. To strengthen risk management, the company early repaid convertible bonds, and its board approved a share repurchase plan of up to $25 million.
